STREET INFORMATION
The Town of Spring Lake encompasses streets that are maintained by the Town and North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). It also has smaller, private roads/streets. While the Town strives to maintain its roads to the highest standards possible, it is not legally permissible for the Town to maintain privately owned roads or NCDOT roads with Town personnel and equipment. If you have a street issue that you would like to report, please contact the Public Works Administrative Assistant and we will help you determine if it is a Town maintained street or help point you in the right direction.
STREET LIGHTING
If you are experiencing a problem with a street light (i.e. street light not on at night, street light on during the day, street light going off and on, etc.) you may address it one of two ways. You may contact Progress Energy directly to report the problem or you may contact the Public Works Administrative Assistant. Either way, if at all possible, try to obtain the Pole ID number first to better process your complaint (it is the black and yellow number on the pole.) If you cannot obtain a pole number, please be prepared to provide a detailed description of the pole location.

DECEASED ANIMALS
If you are in need of the removal of a deceased animal from any NCDOT road (in the Town limits) Town street or within the Town limits, please call the Public Works Administrative Assistant. To expedite the process, please provide the following information:
- location of the animal
- closest street address
- type of animal
- name and number (so if there are any questions the name of the employee responding to the call can call for clarification)
If you are unable to reach the Public Works Administrative Assistant, please call Town Hall at (910) 436-0241 and an employee will be dispatched to you.
