Things To Do - Tour the Base
<< return to previous page
Tour the base and learn about the role of Fort Bragg’s soldiers throughout the world. Wander through museums and churches. Stroll past the picturesque statue of “Iron Mike.” Or, see Mother Nature’s beauty in wildlife throughout the year.
Learn about the endangered Red-cockeded Woodpecker, a bird slightly larger than a blue bird, which has only a few hidden red feathers on its head. Wander through the forest and learn about the longleaf pine wiregrass ecosystem – and see why it’s so important. You might see some of the 1,200 plants and 350 animals that call the military bases home. Pre-registration for all base tours is required.
Because this is an active military base, all requests for group tours are considered individually. Tours are usually given to groups with 15-50 people. For more information, call Vicky Lee at 910-396-5401.
