What an honor this is for such a kind, smart, giving, and gentle man.
Please try to make a little time in your day-to-day activities to attend this ceremony for Howard Pate, Jr.
I am sure you all can remember his smiling face when he was working for the USPS all those years.
This is a great way to show how much members of this community matter, and make a difference. It does not go unnoticed.
The ceremony will start at 10 a.m.
LEAK REPAIRED! The water is back on!
There is currently a Water Main Break starting at Louise St. off of O’Dell Rd, and going all the way back to the new Holly Hills neighborhood.
Daylight Saving Time is this weekend.
Spring forward, and set your clocks ahead one hour on Sunday, March 10th.This is also a great time to check the batteries in your smoke detectors, and if you don’t have smoke detectors-PLEASE get some.
Moved to May 11th!!!
We are proud to announce that we will be having our annual “Spring Fling” Family Fun Festival on Main Street this year!!!
Come and join us for a day of fun down on Main Street!
The North Carolina Department of Environmental and Natural Resources requires ALL water systems to take one month
every year to change their water treatment process. Every year, this happens in the month of March.
Please follow the link for the official announcement:
The Superintendent of the Cumberland County Schools, Dr. Marvin Connelly, along with our Mayor the Hon. Larry G. Dobbins, are giving the Spring Lake community the chance to openly discuss any concerns or issues we may have regarding our children and our schools, as well as see the projected path(s) they have in store for the upcoming year.
The Town of Spring Lake, and all of our offices, will be closed on February 18th, 2019 in observance of President’s Day.
This includes the Recreation and Parks Department as well as the Senior Enrichment Center.
Effective Tuesday, February 19th, 2019….the gate for Fort Bragg, located on West Manchester Rd., will be OPEN now from 0500 hours until 1900 hours, Monday-Friday only. No weekends or holidays at this point.
For us non-military folks, that is from 5 a.m. through 7 p.m. daily.
As many of you know, the limited times that the gates have been operating on as of late have caused some serious issues for our local businesses, our residents, as well as our military who are part of our community here in Spring Lake.
Our Town officials, to include our Mayor Larry G. Dobbins, our Town Manager Daniel B.Gerald, and your Board of Alderman have all been working diligently to make this happen, and we are all thankful for their hard work.
