Senior Enrichment Center

September 2021:
We are requiring masks and have somewhat limited occupancy in certain areas, and importantly….social distancing in all areas, while inside.
This is a great time of year to take advantage of the walking trail.
There will be no food or drinks available, but you may bring your own drink (try and have a lid to avoid spills)
Our drinking fountain is not available at this time.
Drop in hours are now Monday-Thursday, between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Fridays are 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
We do ask that you try not to enter through the Recreation doors due to COVID.
They have protocols for anyone entering over there, and then we will have to duplicate the process upon entrance to the center.)

Instead of going through the double glass doors, just take a left up the sidewalk that leads to the solid blue door in the corner of the building.
It used to just be an EXIT, but due to COVID it is now used as an entrance.

Thank you so much for your patience.
We are excited to begin again.
**Activities that require a larger gathering will resume as soon as participation proves favorable, such as BINGO and POKENO.

Stay tuned for updates to scheduling.
There are no congregate meals at this time.
Meals on Wheels home deliveries will continue for current clients only.
No new registrations are available at this time.

Welcome to the Spring Lake Senior Enrichment Center where our motto is, “You’re never too old to have the best day of your life.” We strive to enhance the well being of all who pass through our doors with an array of services, activities and caring staff. All are welcome, so, what are you waiting for? Come, join the community!

The Spring Lake Senior Center is located in a building directly across from the Town Hall on Ruth Street, and is attached to the Recreation and Parks Building.

(If you need directions to the center, click here.)
When the page with the map appears, enter your current location where the cursor is.

The map defaults to Town Hall.

The Senior Center is just across the street.

The Spring Lake Senior Center relies on funding from the Town of Spring Lake,  the Mid-Carolina Area Agency on Aging,  and the North Carolina General Assembly.

The Senior Center follows the same holiday schedule as the Town and it’s offices.

In the event of closures or early releases due to inclement weather, information will be posted on the home page on here, and on Facebook under Town of Spring Lake, and via the Town’s free  “app”  for your phones titled “I Love Spring Lake” that you can download through the Google Play Store.  We also try hard to report to the local news stations.

No appointment is needed:
You don’t need an appointment to stop in and meet us.

And why wouldn’t we?

Special Parties, Inter-generational members, local and state level Senior Games, Silver Arts-Craft and Performing Competition, twice weekly art classes, morning aerobics class, a separate local “Senior Club” with annual dues, activities,  Bingo on Tuesdays, Pokeno on Thursdays , a sewing room, a computer lab, Bible Study, and free health screenings 1X a month by the Health Department,  and most importantly, making friends.

Our calendar lists all the planned, coordinated events and activities, workshops,  and opportunities you can plug in to and take advantage of for the month.
The calendar gives you the chance to plan when you can participate based on YOUR SCHEDULE.

We constantly strive to live up to our motto, “You’re never too old to have the best day of your life.” In order to do this, we don’t just view you as another customer or visitor. Instead, you are a part of the family. And here in Spring Lake, we believe in family.

In addition to the multitude of social activities we offer at the Senior Center, we also offer an array of services that cater to the well-being, health and safety of our aging population.

A few of these services include :

One of our goals at the Spring Lake Senior Enrichment Center is to enhance the lives of those we work with. It is a support network, a social network, a resource, a place to learn and feel comfortable.
