Updated COVID numbers for Cumberland County

Reported from the NCDHHS today:

“The Department of Public Health reports 158 new COVID-19 cases and one additional death since the Friday, Sept. 11, report. Cumberland County’s case count is now 4,825 with 79 deaths.

As we enter flu season during the COVID-19 pandemic, health officials are urging residents to get vaccinated against influenza.

“To further reduce the strain on our healthcare system during this pandemic, it’s important that you protect yourself and the people around you by getting a flu shot,” said Health Director Dr. Jennifer Green.
